🌟 The Story of Prophet Adam (AS) – The First Human

🌿 The Beginning of Creation

A long, long time ago, before you and I, before even the mountains and the oceans, before the sun and the moon, there was only Allah. Then, there were only Jinn and angels, no humans yet.

One day, Allah spoke to the angels and told them something amazing:

"Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successor (khalifah)."📖 (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:30)إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةًۭ

The angels were surprised! They asked Allah:

"Will You place upon it one who will cause corruption and shed blood, while we glorify You with praise and declare Your perfection?"📖 (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:30)أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ ٱلدِّمَآءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ

They said this because before humans Jinn ruled earth and they were corrupt and bad. They forsake everything Allah has commanded them and killed each other so much. The angels were afraid humans will be the same.

But Allah knew something they did not. He said:

"Indeed, I know that which you do not know."📖 (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:30)إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Then comes,

👐 The Creation of Adam

So, Allah created the first human—Adam (AS)—from clay.

📖 (Surah Sad 38:71-72)"Indeed, I am going to create a human from clay. So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him My soul, then fall down to him in prostration."إِنِّي خَٰلِقٌۭ بَشَرًۭا مِّن طِينٍۢ . فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ

When Allah breathed life into Adam, he opened his eyes and saw the wonders of Paradise. He was now the first human being—the father of all people to come.

Allah then blessed Adam with the knowledge of all names وَعَلَّمَ ءَادَمَ ٱلْأَسْمَآءَ كُلَّهَا" He taught Adam the names of all things"

📚 The Gift of Knowledge

Allah gave Adam something very special—knowledge. Allah taught him the names of everything—mountains, rivers, animals, and even feelings like happiness and sadness.

Then Allah presented them to the angels. He asked them: كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ فَقَالَ ٣١

"Tell Me the names of these, if you are truthful."📖 (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:31)أَنبِـُٔونِى بِأَسْمَآءِ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ

But the angels replied:

"Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise."📖 (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:32)سُبْحَٰنَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Then Allah told Adam to teach them the names, proving that humans have a unique gift of learning and understanding. قَالَ يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُ أَنۢبِئْهُم بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ ۖ

Then with Allah's command,

👑 The Angels Bow, but Iblis Refuses

Then, Allah commanded all the angels:

"Prostrate to Adam!"📖 (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:34)وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوا۟

All the angels obeyed immediately and bowed to Adam out of respect. But a Jinn being that was elevated to the angels refused—Iblis (Shaytan).

"I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay!" - said he📖 (Surah Sad 38:76)أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍۢ وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن طِينٍۢ

Because of his pride and arrogance, Allah cursed Iblis and threw him out of Paradise. But before he left, Iblis swore that he would mislead humans and try to turn them away from Allah.

so he starts to hunt Adam and all his offsprings while...

🌴 Adam and Hawwa in Paradise

Allah placed Adam and Hawa in Paradise, a beautiful and perfect place beyond our human imagination.

Allah told them:

"Eat freely from wherever you will, but do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."📖 (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:35)وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

He restricted them only from one tree but they didn't mind it and thought they could avoid it. Until....

Iblis saw this as his chance for revenge. He whispered to them:

"Your Lord only forbade you from this tree so you would not become angels or live forever!"📖 (Surah Al-A'raf 7:20)مَا نَهَىٰكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنْ هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَا مَلَكَيْنِ أَوْ تَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلْخَٰلِدِينَ

They forgot Allah’s warning and ate from the tree. Suddenly, their clothes of light disappeared, and they felt ashamed. They had disobeyed Allah!

😭 Seeking Forgiveness

Adam and Hawwa cried and repented, saying:

"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers."📖 (Surah Al-A'raf 7:23)رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَآ أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ

Allah forgave them, but as a test, He sent them down to Earth.

🌎 Life on Earth

Adam and Hawwa started human life on Earth. They had many children, including Habil (Abel) and Qabil (Cain). Sadly, jealousy led Qabil to kill Habil—the first murder in history.

Allah sent a raven to teach Qabil how to bury his brother. This was the first burial ever.

Adam lived for hundreds of years, teaching his children about Allah. When he passed away, he left behind a world full of people—his descendants, including us!

🌟 What We Learn from Prophet Adam’s Story

• Allah is Most Merciful – He forgives those who truly repent.

• Shaytan is our enemy – He tricks us into disobeying Allah.

• Knowledge is power – Adam was honored because of his knowledge.

• Jealousy is dangerous – It led to the first crime on Earth.
